Los Fresnos High School (LFHS) and Los Fresnos United (LFU) hold a proud tradition of excellence in interscholastic athletics. Falcon and Lady Falcon teams consistently compete for district championships in numerous sports, and the Los Fresnos CISD athletic program is considered by many as one of the best in the area.

 

Participation in athletics or any extracurricular activity provides opportunities and life experiences that will prove to be beneficial for students. Students have the opportunity to learn self-discipline by participating in athletic programs. 

 

LFHS and LFU students have the opportunity to complete in 12 boys' sports and 12 girls' sports, along with a co-ed cheer program. Special Olympics students are given the same opportunities to compete and excel in numerous sports.

 

Los Fresnos CISD Athletics believes in the "family" concept. The word "family" has become synonymous with Los Fresnos around the Rio Grande Valley and other parts of Texas.
