Competing at the secondary level is a privilege that thousands of our Los Fresnos CISD students are able to experience each year.
For our student-athletes, life skills such as goal setting, time management, teamwork and sportsmanship are qualities that are enhanced through participating in organized team sports. These qualities are golden, as they will serve students well as they pursue their high school degree and prepare for their future.
Student-athletes at Los Fresnos CISD will enter an athletic program where the expectations set forth by our community and coaches are second to none. Competitive athletics provided include the year-round sports of Special Olympics, cross-country, swimming, tennis, and golf. Seasonal sports include volleyball, football, basketball, soccer, track, baseball, softball, powerlifting, and wrestling.
When you participate in a sport at Los Fresnos CISD, you will learn to share roles, be accountable, and work toward a common goal - a tremendous lesson that will benefit our students and ultimately our community. Above all, athletics delivers the fundamental lesson of “Goals worth achieving will be attained by having a vision and putting in the hard work necessary to achieve them!”
